Sing us a Song Piano Vadar

Lord Vader Plays for you
YouTube Channel: HERE

This has to be the most random entry yet, little is known about the original poster of this content other than they are both a fantastic piano player and a giant star wars nerd / fan. Vader plays for you is a simple idea, dress up as The Dark Sith Lord Vader and play upbeat music on the piano.

It's so crazy the videos have already been passed around the net in short time they've been loaded and has amassed a quarter of a million views. Which is a lot considering its just a guy dressed in a Vader costume playing piano tunes, but you gotta love the little touches here and there. The way songs will flow in and out of familiar Star Wars tunes and of course the lovely picture of Princess Lela on the piano.

The Weekly: We are one

Yeah it's late this week, leave me alone. The whole idea of saving a draft and it getting released days afterwards with the date it was originally drafted is broken but I don't care. It looks good in the archives and that's all the matters to me...

Yep, I'm a pretty shallow blogger, what can you do about it? (If you're reading this, congratulations, in between this weekly and the last weekly 4 entries are bound to appear over the next 2 days, draft saving is awesome!)

Anyway, Here's the late Wrap-Up of the best offering on the internet I stumbled across this week:

#10 - Tales of Mere Existence "My favourite artistic advice"
Just some handy advice Lev gives his followers about the creative struggle of being an Artist

#9 - HouseholdHacker - Making Breakaway Glass
A awesome web-show about creating cool things from household items and ingredients, expect an entry on the show soon.

#8 - Shaun of the Dead Island Recut
I don't remember Shaun of the Dead being this sad but it's an excellent recut. Plus that music from the Dead Island trailer is really haunting.

Thanks Satan!

Leo & Satan
NewGrounds profile: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

A lot of people had imaginary friends growing up, but not that many found comfort in Satan when they were just a kid. Unlike Leo whose Best Friend is Satan and helps him out in all sorts of situations, like Algebra. Even though at times Satan can lose his temper and morph into a hulking levitation of rage he still manages to be there for Leo when he needs him most.

Girlfriends? What are those?

We Need Girlfriends
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

I absolutely love this series, maybe because it's a reflection of my life situation and would appeal to a shy loser like myself who is completely incapable of sustaining a meaningful conversation with a member of the opposite sex before alienating them with an extremely inappropriate joke or story. (Forever Alone), yeah I relate most to Henry in this series

Anyway We Need Girlfriends is a web-series from 4 years ago about 3 guys fresh out of college, Tom (Ethan Cohen), Henry (Seth Kirschner) and Rod (Evan Bass). That move into an apartment together who simultaneously get dumped by their long time girlfriends on the same day. Confronted with the daunting realising that they are all single for the first time in a long time they realise how socially naked they feel and embark on a mission to get into another long term relationship immediately.

Anything but Meek

MeekaKitty
YouTube Channel: HERE

Ugh, I've honestly been dreading this, I'm supposed to stay impartial to all entries but I'm starting to run dry on content and I'd rather get this out of the way first before I start completely panicking and reposting old entries.

Meekakitty aka Star Trek is a popular ex-model turned professional vlogger on YouTube, her energetic and chaotic videos have amassed her a large following online as she vlogs about her interesting life. Originally her vlogs consisted about her talking about her modelling career but now she creates comedic sketches and vlogs.

Counting down with Stuttering Craig

ScrewAttck Top 10>
Website: HERE

Everyone loves a Top 10 list, they make you see what people hold dear and important, They don't always have to be the outright best in the field when making these lists and that's what's the best thing about the ScrewAttack Top 10s. Sometimes its a matter of counting down the most innovative creation, the most emotionally gripping and sometimes it necessary to countdown which video game character has the sweetest beard.

Hosted by Shuttering Craig with occasional help from Handsome Tom this long running web countdown has been running on and off for nearly 5 years now and even though they have a partnership with Gametrailers to share web content the ScrewAttack are usually kept in high regard compared to other video game countdown shows. It's probably got something to do with Craig's soothing voice.

Baman? Baman!?

Mondo Media - Baman & Piderman
Alex Butera Website: HERE
Mondo Media: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

No this isn't a Typo this is adventures of Baman and Piderman. Mondo Media has produced one of the most hilariously stupid webseries I will probably ever see and I'm not ashamed to admit I love it to pieces.

I hate to describe what makes this so enjoyable, maybe its the sheer magnitude of the stupidity but the idea that Baman gets around by rolling everywhere and Piderman kinda just slinks around on the ground pulling himself along with his web sling is just down right hilarious to me. Their childish innocent voices probably factor in their somewhere too.

Rageaholics Anonyomous

Razorfist Reviews/Rants
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

The Internet is built on hate and that is the main fuel driving the Rageaholic, pure unbridled fury on the mediocrity the seems to be draping the entire video game industry like a shadow with by the book First Person Shooters and boring stat building fetch quests. Shortcuts and bad game design litter the mainstream gaming market and Razorfist is the voice of the people.

Whether they know it or not the consumer deserves better, Video Game companies seem to just work off a basic formula of games. They don't care about innovation they just want a safe investment that'll guarantee to make them money. No one is willing to take risks in the gaming industry, so we have people like Razorfist who loudly rebel and reject their offerings.

The Wong Brother

Jimmy Wong
(Brother of Freddie Wong)

YouTube Channel: HERE

When you';re an emerging musician and actor on YouTube its hard to live in the shadow of a famous YouTube special effects magician like Freddie Wong but Jimmy seems to be doing fine on his own. Although you wonder how one family can be so talented in a strange field like internet entertainment. Recently finding a much larger audience due to his fantastic musical response to that UCLA Alexandra Wallace - Asians in the Library Rant.

His response song hit all the right chords (Yeah I said it) and sky rocketed his stock as he was featured prominently on the YouTube Homepage and various places around the net for his catchy song. You'd have to be a souless monster not to find this tune infectiously catchy.

The Midnight Channel... Fan dubbed

Hiimdaisy Persona 4 Comics Fan Dubbed
Hiimdaisy LiveJournal: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

If you didn't know by now the Midnight Channel is something I kind of borrowed from the Awesome Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 video game on the PS2. It's a Japanese RPG about these kids finding a new World through Televisions and trying to solve a murder mystery in the sleepy town of Inoba.

The idea of the Midnight Channel is that if you stare into a turned off Television set at the stroke of Midnight on a rainy night your soul mate supposedly appears on the screen.

Webcomic artist Hiimdaisy posts long and thorough webcomics about video games she's played and enjoyed. She's done previous comics on Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 & 3, Legend of Zelda and Phoenix Wright Attorney at Law. These webcomics are greatly acclaimed in the gaming community online and have received millions of views due to the comics being featured on various gaming sites like Joystiq and Destructoid.

Gambino is a Mastermind

Childish Gambino - Donald Glover
Actor, Writer, Comedian and Rapper

Website: HERE
Comedy Central Profile: HERE
Childish Gambino Blog: HERE
MySpace Music Profile: HERE

You might remember Donald Glover from his internet sketch group Derrick Comedy (Previous Entry HERE) or from the NBC comedy Community where he plays Troy Barnes. However Donald is an exceptionally talented man as he is a Acotr, Writer, Stand-up Comedian and a Rapper, it's almost unfair how talented this one man is.

Life hits harder than any Hadouken

College Humour - Street Fighter the Later Years
Website: HERE

A Blast from the Internet Past. Street Fighter the Later Years was one of College Humor's break through projects that catapulted the site into the notoriety for creating larger than life sketch series and productions. This 9 Part web-series debuted in 2006 and was the first major web-series undertaken by the site at the time.

I have fond memories of watching and desperately waiting for the next instalment to be released so I could get back into the troubling life struggle of the Street Fighter characters 10 years after their last World Fighting Tournament. This was a great series, full of nostalgia and nods to the great Street Fighter games and characters. It was in fact the first webseries I had ever watch and truly followed, I was hooked from day 1.

Even though there were long waits in-between episodes it didn't matter to me, I'd re-watch episodes and show all my friends at the time about this amazing series.

The Greasy Moose

The Greasy Moose
Website: HERE
NewGrounds Profile: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE
MySpace Music Profile: HERE

Greasy Moose is a emerging flash team from Australia, making wacky and surreal flash movies filled with a variety of strange and unusual characters. Greasy Moose started out as a Web-comic by the creative founder Chris Voigt but due to the short attention span of most of the browsing internet audience against pictures that don't move he pursued a different path down the road to animation.

In 2005 he registered the Greasy moose name and website and also formed a band with his friend Liam Cass, also aptly called Greasy Moose. Now the entire project of Music and Flash animation is a combined collaboration. It seems Greasy moose is a hobby of both men as they pump out content just for their fans and for themselves, It's endearing and quite refreshing to see no big cash grab or shameless pandering to get a bigger audience.

Weekly Wrap-Up: Still Winning

Alright, this entry is a little late on the upload but I was busy. Sidenote: Rango was freaking Brilliant, I implore everyone to go see it.

Fun is spelt FND

FND Films
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

Two up and coming YouTube film makers in Vinny DeGaetano and Aaron Fronk are the founding members of the film production crew called FND films. They've been making little shorts for YouTube since 2005 and have been get some decent exposure on various sites like Newgrounds, CRACKED and EbaumsWorld to name a few.

Their more basic sense of comedy doesn't really appeal to a specific group. They just like to make films about random things. Like their Parlour Kids as they mock the new found wave of popularity Parlour has been getting to This is Art which generally mocks the Art-world for being so deeply self absorbed.

Unbearable

BBC Comedy - Misery bear
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

Misery Bear is a series of web shorts from BBC Comedy. These depressing and soul crushing videos of a sad little teddy bear's life are just hauntingly bleak. You can scoff about even feeling sympathetic towards a stuff creature but the people pulling the strings of this lovable guy really know how to tell a simple story of loss and hopelessness.

There really isn't all that much to it, It's just the sad story of a stuffed little bear with very little going for him, the videos are accompanied with fabulous song choices like "Lost Cause" by Beck or "Brick" by Ben Folds, Songs that really set a sombre mood. It seems auto biographical for a number of viewers which is why he seems so human to most. I guess the reoccurring theme through-out Misery Bear is isolation and loneliness.

Eating Like a Real man

Epic Meal Time
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

Whut chu' kno 'bout Food? NOTHING!!!

Epic meal Time is gluttony epitomised, I swear to Christ this Web-show just isn't good for you, period. The monstrosities they create on this show boggle the mind on how anyone could possibly abuse their body in such a way by consuming such unreal creation.

The mad genius behind Epic Meal Time is Harley Morenstein, a 25 year old Canadian Substitute teacher who with a group of friends each Tuesday shows the internet how to make high calorie artery clogging feasts using mostly just meat and alcohol. The show has already amassed a strong following since it's inception in October last year and the crew have already been approached by various networks to bring the show to television.

SHOOP DA WHOOP

The Lazer Collection - Dominic Fera
Website: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

Ah Filler, yes even this blog contains filler posts like this. There really is no hiding the fact that posting animations based on a Meme from like 4 years ago is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel here. Well for the very few that have no idea what I'm talking about the Lazer collection created by Dominic Fera some 4 years ago is based off the massive internet meme at the time called "Shoop Da Whoop" aka, IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZER!!!.

HYPER COMBO FINISH

Thousand Pounds Fight Team - Street Fighter Ultras Series
Facebook: HERE
YouTube Channel: HERE

Alright I'm a huge Street Fighter fan, I'll readily admit that I've been 'Haduken'ing since I was 5, That's 17 years of simulated violence teachings and wisdom. I practically learnt everything I know about defending myself from Fighting Games and Bruce Lee movies.

Of course I've learnt at any stage in a fight the colour gets washed out, I'll unwillingly mutter a catchphrase and unleash a World of Unthinkable pain onto my opponent with a meticulously practised sequence of strikes...

Also known as a Ultra Combo.

The Thousand Pounds fight team have gone to a lot of trouble to choreograph suitable real life Street Fighter IV Ultra combos for fans of the series. Whilst a relatively new and growing film production their Ultra Combo series has turned the heads of the gaming community and has been accepted with high acclaim.

Whilst there are only 3 Ultra combo videos released, each one was expertly produced and executed. A lot of care was taken into reproducing authentic real life Street Fighter combo experience so I hope you all enjoy it..

Well the Street Fighter fans anyway.

Shut your mouth Pussycat

Italian Spiderman
YouTube Channel: HERE

Italian Spiderman is just one of those things that belongs on the Internet, it just seems specially made for people to just watch and share with friends. This hilarious send up of Spiderman and the Italian movie culture is brilliant. This chain smoking, overweight moustached machismo lady killer re-imagining is outrageously funny. The whole idea was a joke on how foreign countries would misappropriate or misinterpret American Pop Culture.

Italian Spiderman has different powers then the normal Spiderman, for example he can Teleport, Summon Penguins, force chickens to lay eggs or cigarettes on command and has irresistible sex appeal that drives the ladies wild. All this was created with the idea in mind that this was a Long lost Italian film from the 1960s found in the wreckage of a sunken cargo ship.
