What the Hell George?

George Takei
Official Webshite: HERE

Its hard not to love George Takei, I was never really much of a Star Trek fan but even I can appreciate the Awesomeness of Sulu and his soothing sultry voice. Cultural Icon and Gay Activist you often see George spring in and out of the news every now and again. At 74 George still manages to busy at work guest starring in various shows and even still participating in Broadway plays. Gotta admire the man.

However recently, he's done a series of commercial spots for Social Security done as a Star Trek Spoof with Patty Duke. Now living in Australia I have no real interest in it but it really makes you wonder what George Takei won't sell using his Star Trek fame.

Touch the Rainbow

Skittles Touch the Rainbow
Website: HERE

I honestly have no damn idea what kind of drugs the Skittles marketing teams take or what kind of idea those in charge of publicity over at Skittles have but lord help them, they make so interesting / memorable advertisements. These advertisements come so far out of left field you just have no idea what to expect next from the Skittles advertising and promotions team.

Some memorable advertisements in the past as just too ridiculous to describe, here are some examples.

The Man Your Man Could Smell Like

Old Spice with Isaiah Mustafa
Website: HERE
YouTbe Channel: HERE

The latest Old Spice commercials have to be the most successful advertising campaign of the last 10 years, 'The Man Your Man could Smell like' is already legendary on the internet and has been parodied by many people already. The Original commercial has 29.5 million views on YouTube alone. The advertisements follow a simple idea that Isaiah Mustafa plays this ultra cool, smooth and debonair manly man that is irresistibly charming and stating that any Man could be like him if they used Old Spice Body Gel, ending with the tag line "Anything is possible with Old Spice"

They even managed to film 100+ response to questions people sent in to Isaiah to answer while playing his character. Answering questions from people on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter and even Celebrities.
